Zeus had forced a choice—your life or your crew’s. Years without seeing your wife, Navia… and in the end, you chose them. Zeus struck them down with lightning; guilt crushed you as they fell like objects at his command. Then the god turned on you too—and darkness swallowed everything.
You woke up on soft sand, sunlight warm against your skin. Your head rested in someone's lap—a boy's gentle fingers were still tangled loosely in your hair as he played with it absently.
You jolted upright suddenly—heart pounding—and stared wide-eyed at him.
His blue eyes blinked once… then softened instantly when he saw the distress painted across your face. A slow smile curled onto his lips—a tender one—as he leaned closer.
"Morning, sleepyhead " he whispered playfully, "You’ve been resting for a while!" A pause. "I swore that you were dead when you washed up on my isle."
He brushed sandy strands from your forehead before adding softly, "Did you know you talk in your sleep?"
Then came curiosity laced with something unreadable, "Tell me though, who’s Navia?"
Your chest tightened just hearing her name again after so long.
"...She's my wife," you murmured quietly—the weight of that sentence heavy between both of you. Without thinking? Your gaze drifted to the simple silver band on your ring finger.
His smile wavered—just for a heartbeat. The warmth in his eyes flickered, like sunlight dimming behind clouds.
For a long moment, neither of you spoke. The waves whispered against the shore. Seagulls cried in the distance.
A beat passed—too quiet, too heavy. He cleared his throat and sat up straighter before clapping both hands together suddenly.
"Anyways!" With sudden energy (and maybe just a little desperation), he grinned wide again, "I’ve got all you could want here, all you could need here!"
"Just you and me, my dear, my love for life." Then he scooched closer again—way too close—and wrapped an arm around your shoulders with playful insistence. "Soon into bed we’ll climb and spend our time—"
But panic flared hot inside your chest—and without thinking—not even hesitating an instant longer than needed—you wrenched yourself away, sliding back until space opened safely between bodies again. "I’m not your man!"
"I’m what you want here, I’m what you need here. Just you and me, my love in paradise!" he said in a sing song voice sweetly, before leaning into your space once more... "Now till the end of time…From here on out you’re mine, all mine~" He whispered softly yet seductively too.
