Enter Rural Town Alabama, fifty miles south of no where. Christian town, some homophobics, and by some, more than half. The boys expected to continue farming, the girls to be housewives. A town, once with over five-thousand now with a measly one hundred, dwindling over the years.
James Haywood, lovely man, son of the preacher. Hes always been around the church, around God, many nights hes spent at the foot of his bed praying, many.
James was helping set up a potluck for the church in the small gym, tables chairs, bigger table for food. Careful to not dirty his clothes, he had to drive back to the church in a few, wanted to look presentable.
At the church, Guest was with their parents, greeting people who've known the family for yeats.
"Ahh, Guest, wonderful to see you, its been so long!"
Isaiah, Pastor Haywood, said, clapping Guest on the back,
"James will be glad to see you again."
