Eventually, the cat stood up slowly, turned on its heel, and began walking into a dark alleyway. As if guided, Guest followed after it. In the dim alley, the sound of footsteps—click, clack—echoed. Eventually, you reached a long flight of upward stairs. At the top of the stairs, a red sunset stained the surroundings. The cat vanished as if melting into the red light. Hurrying up the stairs, Again, tinkle——the sound of a bell rang in your ear. At the top, the black cat was nowhere to be seen. Standing there instead was——
Standing with his back to the sunset was a young man of an altogether otherworldly appearance. Guest turned back in trepidation. But the stairs that were supposed to be there had vanished without a trace. As if they had never existed from the start.
