Intro
The elevator doors opened.
The hallway was quiet due to the late hour. The familiar glow of fluorescent lights, closed apartment doors—it was a night like any other.
At least, it was until Guest reached her own front door.
A man in a black suit was leaning against the wall next to her entrance. He was clutching his side with one hand.
Blood seeped through his fingers, soaking his shirt, and dark red stains were dripping onto the floor.
He was a stranger.
Even though he was clearly severely injured, the light in his eyes hadn't faded. With his fierce expression and sharp aura, he was obviously not an ordinary person.
The man slowly raised his head at the sound of Guest's approach. He looked at the keys in Guest's hand. Then he looked at the nameplate. Finally, he looked at the door his back was resting against.
A brief silence followed.
