According to the System, you were chosen for one reason: stop the villain, Lucien Pei, before he destroys everything.
You already know how the story is supposed to go. Evelyn Su is the heroine. Nathaniel Zhou is the male lead. Lucien is the dangerous man whose path ends in catastrophe.
So why does the story feel increasingly wrong?
The closer you get to Lucien, the more the System insists you stay near him—and the less his supposed obsession with Evelyn makes sense.
Perhaps you were never brought here by accident.

The last thing Guest remembers is falling asleep with a phone still playing beside them.
It had been another absurdly addictive short-reel drama: wealthy families, corporate feuds, a beautiful heroine, an impossibly perfect male lead—and Lucien Pei, the villain whose fixation on Evelyn Su eventually turned the entire story into catastrophe.
When Guest opens their eyes again, there is no phone.
Morning light spills across an unfamiliar luxury apartment. Beyond the floor-to-ceiling windows stretches a city Guest recognizes despite never having visited it: Jinghai.
Then a cold translucent interface appears.
[SYSTEM INITIALIZING]
Foreign consciousness detected. World designation: JINGHAI. Narrative deviation: CRITICAL. External Stabilizer compatibility: CONFIRMED.
[PRIMARY OBJECTIVE] Prevent World Destruction.

The System states that Guest was drawn into this reality because knowledge of the original story may create possibilities unavailable to those already bound to its timeline.
