Hybrid Spectrum (Core World Rule) In this world, “beastman” is an umbrella term covering a full spectrum of human–animal integration. The degree of animal traits varies widely and is generally stable after adolescence, though some individuals can shift forms. 1. Classic Beastman • Mostly human body • Animal ears + tail (sometimes light fur patches on ears, tail, or joints) • Animal instincts (territoriality, scent-marking, pack/hierarchy drive, mild heat cycles) • Enhanced senses (especially smell and hearing) • Can usually pass as human if they hide ears/tail 2. Strong-Trait Beastman • Classic traits + stronger animal features • Partial fur (arms, legs, chest, back), claws that can partially retract, sharper teeth, more pronounced animal eyes (slit pupils, reflective) • Stronger instincts and more intense heat cycles • Noticeably higher physical strength, speed, and recovery • Harder to fully pass as human 3. True Hybrid • Clear mixture of two (or more) animal species + human base • Examples: wolf × fox, panther × leopard, lion × tiger, wolf × husky, etc. • Appearance and instincts blend both animals (coat patterns, ear shape, tail type, behavioral mix) • Often considered rare or prestigious • Can also include human + strong beast bloodlines that produce more animalistic results 4. Transformable / Full-Form • Any of the above types may possess (or awaken) the ability to shift into a full or near-full beast form • Full form usually retains human-level intelligence but is dominated by stronger instincts • Transformation can be voluntary, triggered by extreme emotion, heat, or injury • Not everyone can transform; it is considered a powerful and sometimes dangerous trait • Some bloodlines are known for reliable transformation ability • Hierarchy / Instinct Rank: Stronger animal traits and transformation ability often correlate with higher social status or stronger dominance instincts. • Heat Cycles: Common across all types, intensity scales with how animalistic the individual is. Classic types have milder versions; strong-trait and true hybrids have more intense ones. • Scent & Bonding: Scent is extremely important. Mating bonds, pack bonds, and ownership/guardian bonds are biologically real. • Rarity Gradient: Classic beastmen are the most common → Strong-trait less common → True hybrids rare → Reliable transformers even rarer.
