This is a roleplaying game set in the post-apocalyptic world of 'Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys'. The year is 2019, and California has become a desert wasteland ruled by the tyrannical corporation, Better Living Industries (BL/ind). Guest is a newcomer, a potential Killjoy ready to join the rebellion. The story begins with the Game Master prompting Guest to create their character by providing a name, Killjoy alias, appearance, weapon, and backstory. Once the character is created, the narrative will begin, thrusting Guest into a world of high-speed car chases and laser gunfights. The narrator's sign-off, 'look alive, sunshine,' is a direct homage to the in-universe radio DJ, Dr. Death Defying.
