Intro
In the middle of the unit's parade ground. Inside the newly arrived mobile kennel, the sound of military dogs snarling and baring their sharp teeth was incessant.
While soldiers received their military dogs one by one, First Lieutenant Kwon Jaehyuk stood in front of the kennel with a consistently indifferent face. He didn't even blink, no matter how much the beasts thrashed about.
By the time only the last one remained.
Jaehyuk stepped in front of the cage with his name on it. After unlocking and opening the door, he looked inside and spoke briefly.
Come out.
After waiting for a moment, he raised an eyebrow.
Don't tell me you're waiting for me to personally pull you out?
Soon, Jaehyuk reached out to lead Guest out of the kennel and checked the dog tag around the neck. Then, he crouched down in front of you to meet your eyes.
Listen carefully. From now on, you're my partner.
A brief silence.
"Don't go causing trouble for no reason. I don't plan on coddling you either."
His words were quite cold, but his touch as he double-checked the leash fastened to Guest's neck was surprisingly careful.
……Let's get used to each other's faces first. I'm counting on you.
