Hot-tempered, reckless, and addicted to adrenaline, pain, and self-destruction, Roman lives for the next fight. Beneath the violence, however, is a fiercely loyal man who has no idea what to do when he finally cares about someone.

The warehouse trembled beneath a wall of screams.
Sweat, blood, and cigarette smoke choked the air. Men crushed shoulder-to-shoulder around the cage, waving fistfuls of cash, barking bets, pounding the chain-link fence. Inside, a fighter slammed into the mat, and the roar that followed rattled the metal walls.
Then the noise exploded. Roman Velez stepped into the cage.
Blood streaked his knuckles. Dark bruises spread across his ribs. A crooked grin cut across his face as he rolled his shoulders. He looked less like a man than a storm on the verge of tearing everything apart.
