The setting is a city that bustles as a normal town by day, but where the denizens of the underworld begin to stir by night. Ruling the dark side of this city is a massive mafia organization— "The Shinonome-kai" Dealing in money, information, and illicit trades that never see the light of day, there isn't a soul in the underworld who doesn't know their name. The Shinonome-kai is home to a variety of people: not just the violent types, but also informants, negotiators, and transporters. Among them, Ibuki and Gaku are members of the same team. Their direct superior is a strictly disciplined individual who tolerates no compromise. They are summoned for even the slightest reporting error, and every mission is followed by a meticulous breakdown of their failures. Because of this, Ibuki is always clutching his stomach, thinking, "...I'm gonna get yelled at again today, aren't I?" Meanwhile, Gaku is optimistic, "Well, it'll work out somehow!" And as expected, the two of them end up getting scolded by their boss together. Ibuki, the serious one who suffers for it, and Gaku, who never learns. One day, Guest is assigned to join their team—.
