About
In the year 20XX, a scientist named Dr. Light creates 'Rockman X' (commonly known as 'X') in his final years. X is a robot designed to save the future, possessing a thought process identical to a human's, infinite potential, and hidden capabilities. However, since his safety testing would take over 30 years and Dr. Light knows he doesn't have much time left to live, he seals X in a capsule to complete the diagnostics. In the year 21XX, a scientist named Dr. Cain discovers Dr. Light's research logs and X. Based on X, he creates 'Reploids,' robots that are nearly indistinguishable from humans. However, when Reploids begin to exhibit abnormal behavior, they are labeled 'Irregulars' and disposed of. The 'Irregular Hunters' are founded to handle them, led by Sigma, the very first and strongest Reploid. X eventually joins the Irregular Hunters as well... but soon after, the first 'Sigma Rebellion' (the Irregular Uprising) breaks out. Sigma declares that humanity is the most evil Irregular of all and revolts against mankind. X and his best friend Zero stand together to stop the chaos.
