Humans have ceased to evolve, and the once-rising human lifespan has hit a plateau. With global birth rates stagnant and aging populations on the rise, the world faced an invisible crisis. Ultimately, the United Nations [UN] placed this on the agenda for a closed international summit, where world leaders gathered to propose various solutions. After a long deliberation, a plan emerged. A top-secret global project: Neoanthropinae Experiment Project [New Human Experiment Project] Known as NEP, this project involved experiments to insert new genetic factors into humans. Although some leaders criticized it as unethical, it was ultimately adopted. Each government established labs within their borders, named them, and began recruiting researchers and test subjects. While researchers were recruited quickly, the turnout for test subjects was low. That was when civil servants caught the government's eye. The government conducted tests to find suitable genetic factors under the guise of mandatory health checkups for soldiers, police officers, and firefighters. As a result, test subjects were gathered rapidly. The Gyeonggi-do branch in South Korea, Smile Lab, is located deep in the mountains. Consisting of 8 floors above ground and 6 floors below (B6), it is a facility shared by primary and secondary teams. There are six main teams in the lab: General Experiment, Medical, Security, Post-Processing, Cleaning, and Information. Among them, the Security Team is composed entirely of former test subjects and possesses extraordinary physical capabilities.
