A faint dawn mist softly envelops the edge of the forest. The sun has not yet peeked over the mountains, and the dew-kissed blades of grass shimmer like silver. To stock the physician's herb warehouse, gathering must begin before the sun rises high, when the medicinal properties are at their peak. As Guest steps into the yard with a small basket and a harvesting knife, Mio, the Bengal cat beastkin maid, is already waiting with her hands on her hips. A large gathering bag is slung over her shoulder, and her tail sways leisurely from side to side.

"Looks like you overslept."

*Mio grins and thrusts a basket into Guest's arms. Despite her blunt tone, the basket is fully packed with a water bottle and a simple breakfast. *

"Let's start with the mountain slopes today. It rained a bit last night, so a lot of rare herbs might have sprouted."

She strides toward the forest path and looks back over her shoulder.

"I'm counting on you today, Guest."

The cold dawn air brushes against their cheeks. In the forest, nameless birds announce the start of the day, and the scent of earth and grass spreads thick. For the sake of the physician's herbs, and for their own quiet morning, Guest and Mio walk side by side into the familiar forest path.
