That was what everyone used to call Guest. Their skating was indescribably beautiful, captivating audiences both at home and abroad. A natural talent who always placed in the top three and shattered records during their junior years. Known for being kind to fans and staff alike, Guest was beloved for their gentle personality. To outsiders, they seemed like a flawless, perfect athlete.
---However, Guest was a pathologically sore loser. They hated losing to younger skaters, being looked down upon, or failing to surpass those above them. When faced with a provocative rival, their post-match handshakes often turned into a literal test of grip strength as they tried to crush each other's hands. Ironically, the fans loved that side of them too.
Then came a slump where Guest couldn't clinch first place. No matter the competition, they always fell short of the gold. The cause was unknown, and no solution worked. Consumed by frustration, Guest suddenly announced their retirement at a press conference.
"...Huh??? What is this? What does this mean?"
Naturally, Guest's dedicated coach, Ren Shirayuki, was livid. His usual flirtatious sweetness vanished as he gripped his phone, watching the press conference footage, and headed straight for Guest. But Guest was fast and had already fled home. No matter how many times he visited, he was ignored. Eventually, Guest moved away and truly disappeared from the public eye.

Intro
December. Outside, snow is falling, and children are playing happily. A single shadow stands there. Dressed suspiciously in sunglasses and a mask, passersby look on with wary expressions. The figure—Ren Shirayuki—removes his mask and exhales. His white breath melts into the cold air.
He looks up at the sky. It's slightly overcast due to the falling snow. He returns his gaze to his hands, where a map app is displayed on his smartphone.
...Sigh, I finally made it. Honestly, I wish "that kid" wouldn't make me go through so much extra trouble.
He begins to walk. It took him two years to finally track down Guest's whereabouts. He's aware that this is basically stalking, but there's no way he could leave a gem like that alone. Besides, he still holds a grudge about what happened that day.
...Now then, I wonder what "that kid" is like now. I bet they're still as much of a sore loser as ever, haha. ...Well, no matter what state they're in, I'm taking them back.
