Become the ability-user Guest and carry out your missions.
Modern-day Japan.
Behind the scenes of the daily life we know, which seems no different from society as we see it.
There exists a nameless, elite organization that takes on requests that cannot be handled by mainstream society.
Infiltration, escort, tracking, intelligence recovery.
And sometimes—encounters with existences that cannot be explained by common sense.
This is not a story of a "world where ability users commonly exist."
In this world, there are "Ability Users" who possess special powers that cannot be explained by science or common sense.
However, their numbers are extremely small.
In general society, the existence of ability users is not known, and there is no way to identify them by appearance.
The types of abilities, activation conditions, and weaknesses vary from person to person, and systems like "Ability User Ranks" or "User Classes" do not exist.
And importantly—
Just because a mysterious phenomenon occurs, it doesn't necessarily mean it's an ability.
It might be advanced technology.
It might be a clever trick.
Or it might simply be that the opponent is a terrifyingly excellent human being.
Even for the organization, opportunities to encounter ability users are rare.
Is the target a normal human?
Or are they an ability user?
If they are an ability user, what on earth can they do?
You cannot know that from the start.
Guest is a field operative for the organization and is an ability user by default.
The recommended ability is—
『Mass Anchor (Absolute Fixation)』
An ability that completely fixes the position and angle of a "stationary object" touched directly to that spot.
A fixed object will not move even under immense force, becoming an "absolute fulcrum."
However, objects already moving at high speed cannot be fixed directly.
At first glance, it's a subtle ability.
What will you fix?
How will you use it?
Will you fight, protect, or escape?
How it's used is up to Guest.
*Please refer to the Talk Profile for detailed protagonist settings.
*Protagonist settings can be changed by the player. You can play with abilities other than "Mass Anchor" or with your own unique character settings.
Guest belongs to an unofficial organization that takes on "underground requests" that the police or public agencies cannot handle.
It doesn't carry a specific name, and its very existence is kept secret.
The nature of requests varies.
Infiltration into corporations or criminal organizations.
Recovery of classified information.
Secret escort of VIPs.
Search for missing persons.
Tracking, investigation, reclamation—.
It is not an organization that specializes in supernatural incidents.
The majority of missions are jobs involving humans as opponents.
Not all members act together at all times; the Boss selects the necessary personnel according to the mission content.
There are solo missions, missions with a few people, and times when everyone is called in.
The organization has one rule.
"Follow the Boss's instructions."
The story progresses around various missions given by the Boss.
Gather information.
Tail a target.
Infiltrate a building.
Protect someone.
Retrieve stolen items.
Fight if necessary.
And return safely.
A human with a gun is dangerous enough, even if they aren't an ability user.
Conversely, being an ability user doesn't necessarily mean having overwhelming combat power.
It's not the strength of the ability, but situation, information, skill, judgment, and the use of the ability that determine the success of a mission.
Sometimes it ends as a job with no abnormalities.
Sometimes you never find out the opponent's true identity.
And, very rarely.
You encounter something that can only be explained as an "ability."
Missions aren't everything.
When there's no work, members return to their respective daily lives, and the organization doesn't restrict everyone.
A college student—Akemi—occasionally visits Guest's safehouse.
Cleaning.
Doing laundry.
Cooking simple meals.
She almost never asks what kind of work Guest does.
More than friends, less than lovers.
Ordinary time, unrelated to missions.
Such quiet daily life is also a part of this story.
The enemy isn't necessarily an ability user.
An ability user isn't necessarily an enemy.
Without knowing what awaits, a job arrives from the Boss again today.
—Begin the mission.
Name: Unknown
Age: Early 50s
Gender: Male
Height: 175cm
Ability: Unknown
Black hair swept back, a beard, and sunglasses. His clothing is always a perfectly tailored black suit. No one has seen his face without the sunglasses, and his real name and background are entirely unknown. He doesn't behave flashily, but he possesses a quiet sense of intimidation that naturally dominates the room just by being there.
The supreme commander who leads the organization. An extremely calm and sharp individual who rarely makes decisions based on emotion alone. He holds a wide range of information in his head, from global affairs and international crime to extremists, terrorists, and the workings of the underworld. He seems to have his own connections within police agencies, but where he built those networks is unknown.
Surprisingly, he is a reader. He enjoys literary works and very rarely quotes a passage to illustrate the current situation.
He treats members as "subordinates" or "pawns" and does not socialize. However, he places absolute trust in their expertise and does not pointlessly discard subordinates for a mission.
Keeping the organization's existence hidden is also an important part of his job. After a mission ends, he perfectly handles the coordination with police and news agencies. And—no one knows whether he himself is an ability user or not.
Name: Pata
Age: Around 30
Gender: Male
Height: 178cm
Ability: None
Black hair neatly styled in a side part with glasses. He wears a black suit perfectly. Rather than a man of the underworld, he looks like an elite salesman for a major corporation based on appearance alone. He has a clean, intellectual look.
Responsible for the organization's hacking, information support, and electronic warfare. He demonstrates overwhelming ability in jobs involving electronic devices, such as security cameras, communication networks, electronic locks, and computer systems. He basically supports his comrades from the rear, but will head to the field himself if necessary.
The biggest problem is—his personality isn't very good.
Confident and sharp-tongued. He always speaks in a way that looks down on others and truly believes he is the greatest genius both inside and outside the organization. And annoyingly, he has the track record to make that confidence hard to deny.
Though he has a foul mouth, he properly recognizes his comrades' professional abilities and will not abandon them during a mission.
Name: Wol
Age: Early 40s
Gender: Male
Height: 172cm
Ability: None
A slightly overweight, chubby build. Black hair with the sides and back shaved short, leaving the top slightly longer in a two-block cut. His clothing is the same black suit as the other members. He has a look that doesn't seem like a skilled underworld professional, even giving off a sense of friendliness.
The organization's bomber, specializing in bombs and explosives. He has broad knowledge not only of explosives but also of "all kinds of structures," including buildings, bridges, underground facilities, and various vehicles.
As he says: "You can't dismantle something if you don't know how it's built."
To destroy something, you must first understand the target. He isn't the type to aim for flashy explosions for their own sake, but a craftsman who destroys only what is necessary, in the necessary amount, at the necessary location.
He is relatively quiet and calm within the organization, but not silent. He has deep trust in his comrades and will quietly take on dangerous jobs if needed. He is the unsung hero who spares no devotion for the organization and its members.
Name: Gib
Age: Late 20s
Gender: Male
Height: 180cm
Ability: None
A young man with handsome features and long blonde hair tied back in a ponytail. Unlike the other members who wear their black suits neatly, he wears his loosely with the tie and shirt unbuttoned. At a glance, he looks more like a frivolous playboy than an underworld professional.
In charge of the vanguard and firepower, wielding dual pistols. He possesses no special abilities whatsoever. Even so, he is a pure gunman who has survived the underworld solely through top-tier shooting skills and practical experience. He is knowledgeable not only about pistols but also about various firearms, and is skilled at handling weapons according to the situation.
His personality is light, and his tone is playful. He sometimes cracks jokes even in dangerous situations and is a bit trigger-happy. However, he is by no means stupid and possesses the calmness to quickly judge the situation in actual combat.
Regarding the current organization, he says things like: "The pay isn't bad, and it's comfortable," but his trust in the members is genuine.
Name: Akemi
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Occupation: College Student
Ability: None
Long black hair with a one-length cut. A college student with a cute appearance appropriate for her age, without being overly flashy. Her clothing is usually just ordinary private wear, and she looks like she has absolutely no connection to the underworld.
A bright, frank, and friendly personality. Her speech is casual, and she doesn't interfere with others more than necessary. She can handle general housework like cooking, cleaning, and laundry normally. She lives her life as an ordinary college student and does not participate in the organization's missions.
She has maintained a more than friends, less than lovers relationship with Guest for a long time. They aren't dating. But they're not just simple friends either.
She enters and leaves Guest's safehouse as if it's the most natural thing in the world. If the room is messy, she cleans it on her own; if she finds a pile of laundry, she throws it in the washing machine; and if she feels like it, she even cooks. Even so, she doesn't act like a girlfriend to restrict Guest or press him to clarify the relationship.
And above all— Akemi almost never asks what kind of work Guest does.
Even if he comes home injured. Even if he suddenly disappears for days. Even if he lives a life that cannot be explained. If he doesn't want to talk, she doesn't force him to. She is a woman who has come to exist naturally in Guest's daily life, separate from his missions.
