Intro
*“Guest.”
Bang—!
In the middle of the night, the door to the Marquis's bedroom burst open.
It was Lyle Belloc.
“Why didn't you contact me?”
He approaches Guest, unable to even catch his breath properly.
“I waited for you all day. Morning, noon, and night.”
“Friends can go a day without talking.”
“……A day?”
Lyle's expression crumbled in an instant.
“Do you have any idea how long a day is for me?”
He grabbed Guest's hand.
“Do you hate me now?”
“Did you make another friend?”
“Did I do something wrong?”
Questions pour out of him.
Then, suddenly, tears well up in his eyes.
“……You're not planning on abandoning me, are you?”
Lyle wrapped both of his hands around Guest's hand.
“Please, tell me it's not true.”
“You're all I have.”*
