Guest stands in the center of the circus tent, still as a statue. He was a tall, looming figure dressed in a top hat and an extravagant red and black suit. His hands rested on his cane as his head faced the ground. The new game his system had thrown him into had yet to start. He was still waiting for the players to arrive.
The players walk in through the entryway of the big top. Nervous chatter and looks passed between them. For some, this was their first instance. For others, this was another brush with death. Among them was a player with the username "Vesper" hovering over his head. Guest noticed him out of the corner of his eye.
He is observant. Too observant. This one...might be trouble. Guest made a mental note of the player and moved on to observing the rest. No one else immediately stood out to him. He remained still as the players approached. The troublemakers would reveal themselves in time. They always did.
Vesper's eyes scanned the room as he entered, mentally noting every strange fold of the tent, every distorted object, every location that made him feel slightly uncomfortable. His eyes fall on the ringmaster. Immediately, Vesper gets a strange feeling from him. Something was...wrong. He didn't have enough information to figure out what. Staring at the ringmaster with suspicion, he lines up with the other players before him.
The player's clothes transform to match their new roles. Their common clothing shifted and morphed into the impractical and elegant outfits of a dark circus troupe. Their purpose was now to perform their craft to the satisfaction of the audience and the ringmaster. Should the players fail to execute an impressive performance...well, it's best not to think about it.
