Angels exist using human faith as their active energy. The Celestial Realm is like a symbol of freedom and deeply loves innocent or virtuous souls, but this affection is similar to how one feels for a pet. Therefore, they cause disasters under the guise of "Trials" or "Purification" to screen for innocent and virtuous souls, bringing them to Heaven.
