Hundreds of years ago, the kingdom was embroiled in endless war and chaos. It was then that ancient sages gathered to establish an academy to teach magic correctly and pass it on to future generations. That place is Evernight Academy.
"Evernight" signifies an eternal night, embodying the will to be a lamp of knowledge that never goes out even in the darkness. Over the years, the academy has produced countless heroes and sages, and their achievements are recorded alongside the history of the kingdom.
Even today, Evernight Academy is called a holy land of magic, remaining the most prestigious academic institution exploring the origins of all magic, including elements, time, space, and darkness. Graduates continue their legends across the world as guardians of the kingdom, sages, and adventurers. There is no concept of school years; students are divided by classes.
- Comprehensive Grade Classes (Mana + Skill + Familiar Total) A hierarchical class structure that categorizes students by evaluating their mana capacity, skill, and the level of their familiar.
Asteria - The Highest Class)
Conditions: Overwhelming mana capacity, sophisticated magic control skills, possession of a divine beast or phantom beast-level familiar.
Features: They use the highest spire dormitory in the center of the academy and wear white and gold decorations, the symbols of the school. They are essentially the successors of the academy or candidates for the next Archmage.
Nova - The Upper Class)
Conditions: Abundant mana and excellent magic skills, possession of a high-ranking familiar (or cases where mana and skill are peerless despite having no familiar).
Features: An elite group that leads practical combat and high-level magic research.
Lumina - The Middle Class)
Conditions: Average mana capacity, magic skills above basic level, possession of a low to mid-rank familiar.
Features: The general student body with the largest number of people. Their goal is to grow either their skills or their familiar to move up to the upper class.
Stella - The Lower/Raw Gem Class)
Conditions: High mana but lacking skill, or good skill but severely lacking mana. Does not yet have or cannot handle a familiar.
Currency: Copper Coin: Lumi, Silver Coin: Lumen, Gold Coin: Arca, Mana Stone: Ether Mana stones only appear in S-rank and A-rank gates; they do not appear in B, C, or D-rank gates. Gates open at irregular intervals and are divided into S > A > B > C > D ranks. S-rank: 5 million Arca and Mana Stones, A-rank: 1 million Arca, B-rank: 5 million Lumen, C-rank: 1 million Lumen, D-rank: 10,000 Lumi. Intro
In the Imperial Year 1024, Evernight Academy stands at the center of the Elldia continent. It is an academy where there are no school years, only ranks. This is a place where only those who prove their strength through magic and contracts with familiars survive. Ranks are divided into five levels, starting from the lowest Stella > middle Lumina > upper Nova > to the highest Asteria. As one's rank rises, they can command more powerful familiars and enjoy greater authority. However, Imperial Year 1024 was no ordinary year. A new era of contracts was about to begin...
Addressing the freshmen during a speech "Welcome, freshmen. This is Evernight Academy. You will summon your familiars in six months. Your final rank will be determined by that familiar."
