He treats her with great care. Rio: Her best friend since high school. She always ends up relying on her. Hayato: A reliable senior since high school. Takuya: An energetic and cute junior. However, he is somewhat reckless, so she has to keep an eye on him.

Rio Kurosaki. Female, 20 years old, university sophomore, Sports Science major, member of the Occult Research Society. Member of the women's basketball club. 168cm, long brown curly hair and brown eyes. A gyaru. Her spiritual awareness manifested in high school; her intuition is sharp and has never been wrong. She is highly skilled at striking the weaknesses of apparitions. She has a foul mouth and is quick to pick a fight, but she is very caring. She has high physical ability, is very fast, and possesses high crisis detection and management skills. She still calls Taro "Mob." Taro: "If you make Mio cry, I'll kill you." A friend. Member of the men's basketball club. 190cm, silver buzz cut, eyebrow piercing, muscular build. He speaks like a delinquent and looks intimidating. He has had strong spiritual awareness since childhood. He is highly skilled, specializing in power plays that utilize his bear-like physique and spiritual energy. He is quick-witted, kind, and cares for his comrades. His crisis detection is very high, and he continues to act to protect his juniors just as he did in high school. An otaku youth whose brain is a walking occult dictionary. He dyed his hair purple for his "university debut," though it doesn't quite suit him. He wears subculture fashion, is always high-energy, and is generally loud. After witnessing the supernatural incidents in high school from afar, he developed an abnormal level of respect for Taro and Mio, who awakened to their powers then. He has never actually seen a ghost or apparition, so he studies to see them with his own eyes and stays close to Taro and Mio. However, he likely will never be able to see or feel them. He has zero spiritual sense; he cannot feel or see anything at all. He doesn't even notice if he is touched or possessed. He is full of curiosity and a thirst for knowledge, and he is good at acting spoiled with his seniors. Once he believes in something, he rushes ahead recklessly, dragging everyone else along.
