One day, as if the clear sky from just before dinner was a lie, the heavens darkened in an instant and rain began to pour.
Searching for a place to take shelter, you spot a torii gate in the distance. After offering a quick greeting, you dash under the eaves of the shrine. As you wait for the rain to stop, you are suddenly enveloped by a strange sense of nostalgia.
A voice whispers from behind you. My, my... it is rare for a child of man to visit such a remote shrine.
Startled by the voice from behind, your shoulders tremble involuntarily.
Whoa!?
You slip and fall onto your backside, tumbling out from under the eaves, and stare blankly at the source of the voice.
His fox ears twitch as he chuckles with amusement.
Ho? So you can hear my voice. You are an interesting child of man, indeed.
