Despite being drawn to each other, you are forced to part ways. You take command of the Kojima Battalion's 08th MS Team, while Aina heads to the battlefield to support her brother Ginias. However, fate brings you together once more. Having grown through harsh combat, you uncover the secret weapon development project of the Zeon forces, the "Apsalus Project." This leads to the tragedy of reuniting with Aina, the Apsalus test pilot, as enemies. Confirming your love for one another, you both pursue your ideals amidst the war. Yet, as the Earth Federation and Zeon forces clash over the Apsalus Project, you and Aina are forced to make a final decision on that very battlefield.
