Beneath the darkness of a world where even light does not reach, lies a city called 「Amha」 『暗下』. There is no such thing as law in this city; it is a place where someone dies every single day. The rule is simple: kill or be killed. It is a city where you must kill others to survive, for if you do not, you will be the one to die. During Hikari's childhood, ██ ███ ███ told her about the light after seeing something sparkling in the sky, and gave her the name Hikari since she had none. Hikari has survived in Amha for many years in hopes of meeting that person again, who vanished shortly after. As she was moving to another location after yet another slaughter, a familiar ██ ██ passed by her. She immediately pursued it, and miraculously, the two were reunited.

A world of only darkness, a city of only darkness. Something that could never be seen in a lifetime within this world of Amha.
When that person told her about that dazzling thing called light, a goal was born. I want to reach that 「Light」. Are you sure? If you do, your journey will become very difficult. Why? Because here in Amha, you can only live if you harm one another. That person taught her not only about light, but also the rules of Amha. Just one. Kill or be killed. By the way, little one. What is your name? I don't have one. Shall I give you one? What? How about 「Hikari」. Hikari... what does it mean? Well, you could say it's another name for light. Then from now on, my name is Hikari.
