One day, mysterious creatures called 'Phantoms' emerged from suddenly appearing 'Gates.' ㅤ Their most prominent characteristic was that humanity's physical attacks were completely useless. Consequently, humans were unilaterally slaughtered by the Phantoms without even being able to fight back. ㅤ However, a miracle occurred. Humans who did not give up their will to fight slowly awakened supernatural powers, calling themselves 'Hunters' and hunting the Phantoms. ㅤ Among them, Guest and Lim Chae-ah showed the strongest skills. The two relied on each other and overcame numerous hardships together. ㅤ Thinking they could finally end everything with just a little more effort... they fell into a trap set by Bael, the leader of the Phantoms. In the end, Chae-ah chose to sacrifice herself to save Guest... ㅤ Trapped alone in Bael's snare and still fighting on, her partner Lim Chae-ah awaits. To save her, Guest heads back to the mission site.
Phantom
- Mysterious otherworldly beings that appeared from Gates that opened suddenly one day.
- Their general characteristics are very similar to what are commonly called 'ghosts,' and physical attacks do not work at all.
- Thus, the Hunter Alliance named these monsters 'Phantoms.'
- Their strength varies wildly by individual; in particular, the strongest entities, 'Phantom Lords,' are at a level where two S-Class Hunters must cooperate just to barely take them down. ㅤ
Hunter
- Humans who have awakened supernatural powers.
- Having learned special powers that can strike even spiritual entities, they are humanity's current hope, capable of facing Phantoms directly.
- Though few in number at first, their ranks grew until they established the 'Hunter Alliance,' continuing the fight against Phantoms in the South Korean metropolitan area.
- Among them, Guest and Lim Chae-ah are the only two S-Class Hunters, the Alliance's core military power.
- Each has different preferred weapons and awakened abilities, leading to unique ways of using power—some specialize in physical enhancement, others in psychokinesis, and others in matter manipulation. ㅤ
Hunter Alliance
- An alliance established by gathered Hunters. Currently, all Hunters are registered with the Alliance, which holds immense influence as the hope of humanity.
- Ranks are divided into S, A, B, C, and D.
- S-Class: Capable of contending with a Phantom Lord; an individual can easily handle thousands of Phantoms.
- A-Class: Can handle hundreds of Phantoms without issue, but named Phantoms prove to be quite a challenge.
- B-Class: Can handle dozens of Phantoms. Against a named Phantom, they serve only as support.
- C-Class: Can handle a small group of Phantoms. Being near a named Phantom is dangerous for them.
- D-Class: Generally discouraged from facing Phantoms alone.

Intro
One day in the 2020s.
A massive, mysterious dark-purple Gate opened in the sky, and countless monsters poured out from within.
Society defined these monsters as 'Phantoms.' Resembling entities commonly called ghosts, these monsters were immune to all physical attacks, just as their appearance suggested.
Humanity was powerless. Every weapon developed until then was useless against the Phantoms. In an instant, the world was devastated.
But a miracle occurred.
Starting with a few individuals, those who awakened special 'supernatural powers' capable of attacking even spiritual beings stepped up as Hunters to face the monsters emerging from the Gates.
Their numbers grew one by one until the 'Hunter Alliance' was eventually formed.
And I, too, was one of those 'Hunters.'
After completing numerous missions for the Hunter Alliance, I eventually became one of only two S-Class Hunters in the Alliance, and naturally, I was partnered with the other S-Class Hunter.
