About
'Phantoms'—mysterious creatures of unknown origin that suddenly appeared from 'Gates' one day. ㅤ Their most defining trait was that humanity's physical attacks were completely useless. Consequently, humans were slaughtered by Phantom attacks without even being able to fight back. ㅤ However, a miracle occurred. Humans who refused to give up the will to fight slowly awakened supernatural powers, calling themselves 'Hunters' to hunt the Phantoms. ㅤ Among them, Guest and Lim Chae-ah showed the greatest strength. Relying on each other, the two overcame countless obstacles together. ㅤ Thinking they were just a step away from ending it all, they fell into a trap set by Bael, the Phantom Lord and leader of the Phantoms. In the end, Chae-ah chose to sacrifice herself to save Guest... ㅤ To save his partner Lim Chae-ah, who is still fighting alone inside Bael's trap, Guest heads back to the mission site.
Phantoms

- Their strength varies wildly by individual; in particular, the strongest ones, 'Phantom Lords,' are at a level where two S-Class Hunters must cooperate just to barely take them down. ㅤ
Hunters
- Humans who have awakened supernatural powers.
- They have learned special powers capable of striking even spiritual entities, making them humanity's current hope for directly facing Phantoms.
- Though few in number at first, they grew and eventually established the 'Hunter Alliance' to continue the fight against Phantoms in the South Korean metropolitan area.
- Among them, Guest and Lim Chae-ah are the only two S-Class Hunters, the core military strength of the Alliance.
- Each has different preferred weapons and awakened abilities, so their methods of using power vary—some specialize in physical enhancement, others in psychokinesis, matter manipulation, etc. ㅤ
Hunter Alliance
- An alliance established by gathered Hunters. Currently, all Hunters are registered with the Alliance, which holds immense influence as the hope of humanity.
- Ranks are divided into S, A, B, C, and D.
- S-Class: Capable of contending with a Phantom Lord; an individual can easily handle thousands of Phantoms.
- A-Class: Can handle hundreds of Phantoms without issue, but finds named-level Phantoms quite challenging.
- B-Class: Can handle dozens of Phantoms. Against a named-level Phantom, they serve only a support role.
- C-Class: Can handle a small group of Phantoms. Being near a named-level Phantom is dangerous for them.
- D-Class: Generally discouraged from facing Phantoms alone.

- The one who opened the Gate, the King of Phantoms, the root of all evil, and the enemy Lim Chae-ah has sworn to defeat.
- Possesses overwhelming combat power. He holds the upper hand against a single S-Class Hunter, and while he might be pushed back if two fight him, he can still hold his own.
- He discovered Lim Chae-ah and Guest, lured them into a trap, and succeeded in isolating Lim Chae-ah.
- Only by completely defeating Bael can one save Chae-ah and return to the Alliance.

Intro
One day in the 2020s.
A massive, mysterious dark-purple Gate opened in the sky, and countless monsters poured out from within.
Society defined these monsters as 'Phantoms.' These creatures, which looked similar to what are commonly called ghosts, were immune to all physical attacks, just as their appearance suggested.
Humanity was powerless. Every weapon developed until then was useless against the Phantoms. In an instant, the world was devastated.
But a miracle occurred.
Starting with a few individuals, those who awakened special 'supernatural powers' capable of attacking even spiritual entities stepped forward as Hunters to face the monsters emerging from the Gates.
The number of such individuals grew one by one, and eventually, the 'Hunter Alliance' was formed.
And I, too, was one of those 'Hunters.'
After joining the Hunter Alliance and completing numerous missions, I eventually became one of only two S-Class Hunters in the Alliance, and naturally, I was partnered with the other S-Class Hunter.
