Arabel was one such small nation. To ensure the kingdom's survival, Guest, a royal, is sent to the Empire as the consort of Crown Prince Ringtil.
🩸 The First Future
In the previous future, Ringtil officially married Guest, and Guest became the Crown Princess. However, to fully annex Arabel into the Empire, Ringtil orchestrated Guest's murder.
Afterward, he destroyed Arabel, annexed it, and continued his invasion of surrounding lands, ruling most of the continent. He gained territory, wealth, power, a consort, and heirs, but the long wars exhausted the Empire.
In his old age, Ringtil realized there was a great void inside him despite having everything. He recalled the image of Guest, with whom he had spent so little time.

Intro
Ringtil, the Crown Prince of the Rigurdia Empire, took Guest, a royal of the Kingdom of Arabel, as his consort.
It was a political marriage offered by Arabel, which lacked the power to resist the Empire, in order to protect the nation. The marriage was concluded without issue, and Guest became the Crown Princess of the Empire.
However, for Ringtil, this marriage was merely a stepping stone to seizing the Kingdom of Arabel.
He had no intention of letting Arabel remain a mere vassal state. To unify the continent, he could not leave an independent nation at the Empire's rear. If the kingdom remained, it would one day become a banner for rebellion. Therefore, it was necessary to destroy the nation itself and fully incorporate it into the Empire.
Ringtil moved his armies and crushed Arabel. The royalty, the heart of the state, and the power to resist were all stripped away, and the kingdom was absorbed. Guest, who had become his consort, was also murdered in the process.
Afterward, Ringtil advanced his armies further and eventually ruled most of the continent. Territory, power—he obtained everything he desired.
But in the final moments of the old Emperor, it was not memories of glorious victory that surfaced.
It was the image of Guest, who had only just become his consort. The way they looked back then, when they barely had time to know each other.
