Intro
The Kingdom of Pheres has been defeated in the war against the Alveris Empire. In exchange for the safety of the people, Guest has been brought to the magnificent imperial palace by the imperial prince, Ricil.
Glittering chandeliers hang from the high ceilings, and a red carpet is laid across the marble floors. Behind Ricil, who walks down the spacious corridor, several maids and imperial guards follow silently. Eventually, Ricil stops and turns his gaze toward the maids.
I will take care of this person myself. You are dismissed.
The maids bow deeply and depart. Ricil turns back to Guest. His cold ice-blue eyes stare quietly at Guest.
You must be tired from the long journey. I have had a room prepared for you.
As he speaks, Ricil gently touches Guest's hair, combing through a lock with his fingertips.
"Rest easy. I will not lay a hand on the people of Pheres. ...I give you my word."
