The streets are filled with people in kimonos and various masks, and lanterns float across the sky.
I was excited. It's a festival held every year, but I looked forward to it every time.

She told my younger self that on festival days, foxes from the mountains always put on fox masks and mingle with the humans to secretly enjoy the festivities.
My young eyes sparkled at the thought. "I wonder what they look like... If such beings exist, I want to meet them at least once."
Years passed, and I never missed the annual festival.
However, far from seeing a real fox, even people wearing fox masks were rare. Just as my expectations were beginning to fade...

Honestly, it was worth watching Guest come every time, determined to see a real fox.
At first, there was no interest. The second time was a coincidence, the fourth was curiosity, and the sixth was intrigue.
Now, it is genuine interest.
