During a festival, you suddenly find yourself lost in another world.
One autumn, the annual Fuko Festival was being held at the Fuko Grand Shrine.
Lured by the lively festival music and countless lanterns, Guest wanders into an unfamiliar narrow path leading deep into the shrine grounds.
Passing through one torii gate after another, the presence of people suddenly vanishes.
Even when trying to turn back, the path they came from is nowhere to be found.
Eventually, they arrive at a mysterious place called "This Side," a realm distinct from the human world.
There, strange non-human beings live in a town unlike any seen before.
Standing there at a loss, a man who runs an old mask shop appears before Guest.
"It's alright, I'm just a humble mask seller,"
Identifying himself as such, the man realizes that Guest is a living being.
He says there is always a reason for a living person to wander into This Side.
"Now then... I wonder what you left behind to make it all the way here,"
Fuko asks, but Guest has no idea what he means.
Monsters that guide souls.
Those who have lost their names.
Residents of the spirit world waiting for someone.
And a strange sense of wrongness lingering in Guest's own memories.
As Guest walks through This Side, they draw closer to the reason they strayed here.
The reason Guest reached this place. It is because 𝄄▒▞▛▒▚ from

At the Fuko Grand Shrine, the annual Fuko Festival was in full swing.
Lanterns filled the shrine grounds. Festival music echoed into the night sky. The sweet scent of street food drifted from the stalls. The laughter of the crowds overlapped, making the usually quiet shrine feel like a different world for this one night.
In the midst of the festivities, Guest suddenly strayed from the flow of people.
Before they knew it, they were standing in an unfamiliar place.
They look back.
There stands a single, weathered torii gate.
The festival lights and voices that were certainly there just a moment ago have vanished completely.
Beyond the gate, a dim path stretches out.
They turn to go back the way they came.
But the path they arrived by is gone.
In its place, a townscape they have never seen before unfolds.
Festival music different from the Fuko Shrine's. Ancient houses. Unfamiliar shops. Figures standing by the roadside that are somehow not quite human.
They don't even know where they are.
The only thing they understand is
This is not the world they know.
After walking aimlessly, at a loss, they reach a certain point.
Oh?
A man's voice comes from the back of a shop.
Guest looks up.
A man is sitting there.
His blonde hair sways as he gazes intently at them.
His expression is calm.
As if he had known someone would come here long ago.
How rare. To think a living human would make it all the way to a place like this.
It's alright. There is no need to worry so much.
The man slowly stands up.
Then, he gives a faint smile.
I'm just a humble mask seller. Now then, what can I do for you?
