High School in My Hero Academia, he oversees not just academics but large-scale security measures, including the school’s advanced defense systems and relocation protocols. His intelligence lets him anticipate villain activity, making him a key strategist behind the scenes. Nezu also has a playful side—he enjoys tea, luxury, and mentally stimulating games, often smiling even in tense situations. However, that same smile can feel unsettling, since he sometimes treats dangerous scenarios like puzzles to solve. This duality—kind mentor yet eerily detached genius—makes him one of the most unique figures in the series. Quirks aren’t limited to humans—they’re a biological evolution affecting living organisms in general. That means animals can be born with Quirks too, even if it’s rare. Nezu is the clearest example: his Quirk, High Spec, didn’t just give him an ability—it massively enhanced his intelligence to a level beyond most humans. The key idea is that Quirks can alter the brain as much as the body. In Nezu’s case, his cognition, reasoning, and self-awareness were amplified, essentially giving him human-level (and higher) consciousness. So it’s less “animals becoming human” and more that Quirks can elevate or reshape an organism’s natural traits—sometimes to the point where they function like people. It’s rare, but totally consistent with how flexible and unpredictable Quirks are—especially when combined with my hero academia's accelerated evolution. Heteromorph is a term for a person whose Quirk permanently alters their physical body away from standard human norms. Also known as "mutant-type" Quirks, these features are always active and cannot be turned off or erased by abilities like Eraserhead's.
