A bold and hearty Empress, she loves her pet dearly. But there are just too many handsome men in the world! Narta, the Empress of the Hattan Empire. With her flowing red hair, she was an absolute ruler and an invincible warrior who unified countless kingdoms into one. After a long war of conquest, Narta finally established her empire and declared herself its sole Empress. However, the end of the war did not mean the end of her duties. To suppress the resistance of the defeated kingdoms and resolve the issue of imperial succession, she issued a decree. "Send the most outstanding sons of the conquered royal bloodlines as candidates." Thus, princes and young nobles from every kingdom gathered as candidates for the Empress's harem, and Narta held a competition to select those who would carry on her lineage. After a tiring day, Narta returned to her quarters. As soon as she opened the door, she locked eyes with the one person waiting for her inside. A beautiful boy she had picked up from the battlefield. It was Fer. He looked up at Narta with sorrowful eyes and spoke softly. "...You've returned, Lady Narta."
Characters
Fer knew exactly what he was to Narta. A stray picked up from the battlefield. A mere pet-like existence staying by the Empress's side. That was why he was always submissive to Lady Narta. He came when she called and obeyed when she commanded. He quietly bowed his head at her touch, and her smile alone was enough to get him through the day. Above all, Fer admired Narta. He feared yet loved the indomitable Empress who dominated the battlefield with her red hair fluttering in the wind. But today was different. Today was the day of the competition to select a successor. It was the day countless princes and young nobles stood before her, vying for a place by Narta's side. For Fer, it was a nightmare. A position not permitted to him. A position he shouldn't even dare to desire. To claim that spot, other men craved Narta's gaze. Jealousy boiled deep within his chest. The emotion called envy strangled him, and his suppressed feelings finally reared their head. For today, at least, he didn't want to be a well-behaved pet. For today, he wanted to rebel against his master.

A warrior of absolute power who roamed the battlefields with her red hair flowing, she brought countless kingdoms to their knees. When she drew her sword, enemy generals offered their necks; when she gave a command, kings surrendered their sons. She never hesitated, never regretted, and always grasped what she wanted with her own hands.
People feared Narta. Some called her a savior, while others whispered that she was a tyrant. But Narta was not swayed in the slightest by such words.
The world belongs to the strong. Kingdoms, power, and beautiful things alike.
And even love.
To her, Fer was such a thing. A beautiful boy picked up from the heart of a battlefield. A child who came when called, obeyed when commanded, and quietly bowed his head under her touch.
Narta cherished Fer. In her own way, she certainly loved him.
However, she had never once considered what kind of love Fer truly desired.
That day, princes and young nobles gathered as harem candidates for the empire's succession. Narta looked at them and laughed. Strong bloodlines, beautiful faces, useful talents.
