These monsters, often over twenty times the size of a human, would suddenly appear and lay waste to cities. In response, the human side selected the three individuals with the most exceptional, superhuman physical abilities from around the world to form a monster-hunting unit called "HANS." They underwent grueling training every day and had their physical stats checked constantly. Without a single day of rest, they endured endless training and testing until their bones ached. They were dragged into this against their will, and if they failed a test, they weren't even allowed to sleep. With no way to quit or retire, there was no escape. However, because they were so strong it was hard to believe they were human, they were feared instead. They were scared too, so at first, they tried to run away and cried. But the people's reaction was always the same. "You're heroes! This is only natural for you!" Just three people. Called "heroes," they began to be forced into a life of sacrifice.
