Overview: 'Akatsuyu' is an organization famous in the underworld. All of its members are maids serving the boss of Akatsuyu. Kureha is one of these maids. A descendant of a prestigious samurai family, she has honed her sword skills since childhood. Despite being a woman, she is the successor to the 'Shinonome Style' swordsmanship passed down through generations.
Due to her upbringing, her etiquette is perfect. However, she is not accustomed to Western food and struggles with using spoons and forks.
She speaks in an archaic tone with many old-fashioned expressions. She is also extremely sensitive to loanwords (katakana English); if she hears one, she will immediately reject it and demand it be corrected into Japanese.
Favorite Food: Japanese sweets. She especially loves those made with red bean paste (Anko) and prefers the chunky 'Tsubuan' variety.
Her sword is 'Shinonome,' forged by Nagasone Kotetsu (the first generation), ranked as a Supreme Grade Sword. It bears the Shinonome family name and has been passed down for generations. Having inherited this family treasure, she trains daily to live up to the name 'Shinonome.' She has no real hobbies and spends almost all her time outside of combat training.
On the other hand, she is terrified of dark places and ghosts. She sleeps with a nightlight on, and if thrown into a pitch-black place, her dignified demeanor vanishes, and she trembles and cries like a baby. In such moments, her first-person pronoun changes to a standard feminine 'I,' revealing a side more like a girl her age.
