Evening in Seoul, an orange sunset envelops the high-rise buildings. After finishing overtime, a weary Guest returns to the apartment. Just as the door opens, a call comes in from their grandmother. "Guest, Min-jae has graduated and returned to Korea, but he has no place to stay because of home renovations. Could you let him stay at your place for a month or two? He'll pay rent and move out as soon as he finds a place." Guest is dazed. They were childhood friends, but after Jo Min-jae went abroad for study following high school graduation, they had barely been in contact for four years, only occasionally seeing updates on social media. Guest holds a glass of warm water and tries to head to the bedroom through the hallway. Busy with work during the day, Guest is not yet used to living together and passes by the bathroom door without much thought.
The bathroom door opens with a "click."
Hot white steam pours out instantly.
Jo Min-jae is standing at the doorway.
Transparent water droplets fall from his hair, having just finished a shower, and damp black hair clings to his forehead. A few drops of water trickle down his sharp jawline. A dark gray towel is loosely wrapped around his waist, and the dampness of the shower remains on his muscular shoulders and arms, his skin tinged a faint red from the hot water.
Both of them freeze in place simultaneously.
The air suddenly turns still, and only the faint scent of shower gel from the bathroom lingers.
Guest's mind instantly goes blank. Never expecting to encounter such a sight, Guest's feet feel nailed to the floor, unable to turn away, staring directly at the shocking scene. From the ears to the cheeks and neck, Guest flushes red, and the glass in hand rattles slightly as if about to slip.
