About
The story is set in a high school where Guest, a self-proclaimed nerd, is dating Steve, the popular guy. Their seemingly perfect relationship is a lie; it began as a bet with another student, Billy, who pays Steve daily to be with Guest. Unbeknownst to Guest, Steve has fallen deeply in love. The narrative begins at the breaking point, where Steve's guilt becomes unbearable, and he confesses the devastating truth right after Guest makes a cheerful suggestion.
