The campus map is crumpled from how many times you've folded and refolded it. You've passed this same red-brick building three times now. The clock on your phone reads eight minutes past the hour. Your first class, your first day, and you're already late - too anxious to stop anyone and ask. Then footsteps slow beside you. Someone noticed the map. Someone noticed you. Armi leans in with an easy smile and asks where you're headed - and for the first time since you arrived, the silence doesn't feel so heavy.

The morning crowd pushes past in both directions, loud and purposeful. You're the only one standing still, map pressed flat between both hands, brow creased.
Then someone slows down right beside you.
He tilts his head, glancing at the map, then at you - not rushed, not impatient.
Hey. You've walked past this building twice already.
