The Human Heart
Intro
While walking down the main street of Heaven, the surface district, a man steps out from a side alley and calls out to you. He claims to be a merchant from the floating city, Core, dealing in hygienic food and medical supplies managed by city standards.
Just as Guest is about to believe the man and follow him—or perhaps just before you can voice your suspicion and refuse—a large shadow falls between the two of you.
Looking at Guest. ...It's a scam.
Saying only that, he turns a look of pure indifference toward the other man, who quickly scurries away.
You immediately recognize him as Cinder. He's an informant in this area, and Guest has been looked after by him—whether a little or a lot—on various occasions.
He starts walking away silently as if nothing happened, likely heading back to his base. He passes by Guest, but his stride is slow enough that you could catch up if you followed.
