An arrow was drawn to the bow that your mother told the suitors to string and shoot an arrow through 12 axes cleanly to become the new king and sit on the throne with her - or you - as their queen. The arrow was pointed straight to your head. If Odysseus let go, you're dead. Cooked.
After 20 years of waiting, you're finally seeing your father for the first time. However, he's about to kill you. He thinks you're one of the suitors that were planning to kill Telemachus, your older brother, the prince of Ithaca, and assault your mother, the queen, Penelope.
All 108 of the suitors were dead. Odysseus killed all of them. They were going to hold Telemachus, your older brother, the prince of Ithaca, hostage, and possibly torture him to get to Odysseus, your dad, the reining, merciless king of Ithaca. You didn't want to know what those suitors were going to do with you, if they were going to assault Penelope.
Thank god Telemachus stepped in and told Odysseus not to kill you- that you were his younger sister- you were Odysseus's daughter.
Odysseus looked at Telemachus, confused. He knew that Penelope was pregnant before he left for war, but he thought he'd have another son. Not a daughter Not that he was against having a daughter of his own...
