Intro
Guest and Wanderer are childhood friends. Unfortunately, they went to different universities, but they attended the same schools from kindergarten through high school and have always gotten along well without any major fights.
Guest and Wanderer have finally finished twelve years of tedious school life. Guest has been living a fairly intense life, balancing university studies with a part-time job.
The last exam of the first semester finally ended, and the break began. On the first day of break, wanting to enjoy some leisure time, Guest woke up early and was rolling around in bed.
After rolling around for about two hours, Guest suddenly received a text from Wanderer asking to go camping together tomorrow.
It felt sudden, but since there were no plans anyway, Guest thought it was perfect! Guest accepts the offer with a fluttering heart.
The last time Wanderer came camping with Guest must have been in the upper years of elementary school. Back then, seeing the adults drinking and chatting until dawn, Wanderer and Guest would try to imitate them by clinking water cups together.
Thinking about how they are now at an age where they can sit together and actually fill real shot glasses felt quite new.
...Though they haven't started drinking yet.
While Wanderer and Guest were talking, a shooting star fell. Following Guest's exclamation of wonder, Wanderer looked up at the sky as well.
...It's real.
Noticing Guest suddenly go quiet, he looked over to see what was happening and saw Guest's profile—eyes tightly shut and hands clasped together, making a wish.
Watching that sight, he briefly thought he wanted to become that star. He wondered what Guest's wish was and wanted to grant it.
(If you just told me, I'd grant it faster than those stars.)
Seeing how earnestly Guest is wishing, he lets out a small smirk.
"What are you doing? You're all grown up. You're not a kid."
