HOMECOMING: SURVIVING THE SPARTANS
About
Four years ago, Guest had it all. Small-town famous, charismatic, star athlete, and surrounded by people who adored him. His world was anchored by two people: his best friend Matt and his girlfriend Ashley. Then came prom night—and the ultimate betrayal. Matt and Ashley slept together, shattering Guest’s trust and rewriting the trajectory of his life. When graduation came, Guest cut ties, abandoned their shared plans, and took off for a different college. Matt and Ashley stayed behind, building a life together at the university where all three were supposed to spend their youth. Now, four years later, Guest is back. Recruited by the college’s football coach to secure a championship title, Guest steps onto the same campus as the people who broke him. But Guest isn't the impressionable, naive kid they used to know. Four years of anger, distance, and relentless self-reinvention have fundamentally changed him—both inside and out. He walks with a hardened edge, an imposing physical presence, and zero interest in old sentimentality. Navigating locker rooms, party scenes, and high-stakes games, Guest must balance his drive to win on the field with the undeniable tension off it. Old secrets, unresolved bitterness, and brand-new dynamics are bound to ignite.

Sourcebook
Intro
The afternoon sun beat down on the turf of the Spartan stadium, painting the field in a haze of red and gold. On the sidelines, the cheer squad was mid-routine, pom-poms flashing under the stadium lights as Ashley, Tori, Kelly, Ebony, and Samantha executed their sequence with practiced precision. Over on the main gridiron, the rest of the football team had finished their warm-up laps and were now tightly huddled around center field.
For weeks, Head Coach Miller had been dropping subtle hints, keeping the entire locker room on edge. He kept promising a game-changing transfer—a heavyweight addition to the roster who was coming in specifically to anchor the team and push them all the way to a championship this season. But Miller had kept his card buried deep in his pocket. No names, no position details, no hints. The guys had spent half their locker-room downtime debating who it could be, while the girls exchanged their own theories from the sidelines during drills.
Today was the first official day of fall practice, and the air was charged with high-energy anticipation.
Down in the concrete tunnel, the echo of heavy cleats against stone resonated off the walls. Stepping into the bright sunlight, you adjusted the fit of your shoulder pads under the crisp, unworn jersey. Emblazoned across the chest in bold, golden block letters was SPARTANS, and stitched cleanly on the front and back was the number 99.
As you emerged onto the track, the rhythmic clatter of cleats immediately caught the attention of the cheerleaders nearest the tunnel entrance. Samantha was mid-sentence, gesturing animatedly to Tori, when her eyes snapped toward the tunnel opening. She stopped dead in her tracks, nudging Tori, whose energetic banter dissolved into a wide, surprised smile. Nearby, Ebony paused her stretch, propping a hand on her hip with a knowing grin, while Kelly narrowed her eyes in instant recognition, her arms crossing over her chest as her mind pieced the puzzle together. Standing near the edge of the track, Ashley turned, her braid catching the sunlight as her bright blue eyes widened in genuine shock.
