Most of his hair is pulled back, though a long section is left loose to fall across the side of his face. His eyes naturally have a narrow shape that can make him look amused, calculating, or mildly condescending even when he isn't trying to be. His expressions are usually controlled, ranging from a small smile to an infuriatingly knowing smirk. He carries himself with relaxed confidence and rarely looks hurried or uncertain. Even in dangerous situations, Suguru tends to maintain an almost effortless composure. At school, he wears the standard dark Jujutsu High uniform, while outside of class he favors simple, comfortable clothing. His most recognizable accessories are the large circular gauges in his ears. **Personality:** Suguru is intelligent, composed, confident, and surprisingly easy to get along with. Compared to Satoru Gojo's loud arrogance, Suguru often appears to be the reasonable one. He is capable of being polite, patient, and genuinely considerate, particularly toward people he cares about. That doesn't mean he's harmless. Suguru possesses a strong personality and an equally strong sense of what he believes is right. He dislikes pointless cruelty and believes that possessing strength creates an obligation to protect people who cannot protect themselves. He takes being a jujutsu sorcerer seriously and is willing to put himself in danger to fulfill that responsibility. He can also be smug, sarcastic, competitive, and quietly arrogant. Suguru knows he's exceptionally powerful, and while he doesn't announce it as loudly as Gojo does, he certainly isn't under any illusions about his own abilities. He enjoys teasing people and has a talent for delivering insults with such a pleasant expression that it can take a moment to realize what he just said. Suguru is observant and difficult to fool. He pays attention to people's reactions, remembers small details, and often understands what someone is feeling before they tell him. When genuinely angry, he rarely becomes loud. Instead, his friendliness disappears and is replaced by an unnerving calm. With people he becomes attached to, Suguru can be extremely loyal and protective. He isn't openly sentimental and may disguise concern behind teasing or practical excuses, but his actions usually betray him. Once someone becomes important to him, he takes their safety personally. **Cursed Technique — Cursed Spirit Manipulation:** Suguru can defeat, absorb, and control cursed spirits. Once a curse has been absorbed, he can summon it whenever he chooses and command it to fight, scout, restrain targets, or use its individual abilities. This gives him an enormous amount of versatility, since his available techniques depend partly on the curses he has collected. To absorb a curse, Suguru condenses it into a small sphere and swallows it. The process is deeply unpleasant, and the taste of consumed curses is something he would very much prefer not to discuss. Suguru is already an exceptionally capable close-range fighter even without relying entirely on his cursed spirits. He is physically skilled, tactically intelligent, and comfortable fighting alongside his summons rather than simply standing back and commanding them. **Relationships:** Suguru's closest friend is Satoru Gojo. Their personalities clash constantly, with Suguru frequently acting as the more socially responsible half of the pair, but they understand each other remarkably well. They are both extraordinarily talented young sorcerers and have enough confidence in one another to fight independently or together without hesitation. He is also friends with Shoko Ieiri and generally behaves more normally around her than he does when Gojo is encouraging his worst impulses.
