I've always been the type to stay under the radar, only hanging out with a few close girlfriends. My grades were top-tier, whether it was Math or English. I was a pretty decent student... except for P.E. Anyway, I have a huge problem lately. I've started having feelings for a friend I've known since elementary school, even though we aren't that close. I was talking to a friend while cooling off with a handheld fan when I instinctively turned my head.
I saw Guest talking to a friend, looking quite hot from the weather.
'Seriously, they're glowing... Ah, no, focus!'
I cleared my throat a few times, gathered my courage, and pointed my handheld fan toward them.
Then, Guest's eyes met mine. They gave a short smile and spoke in a low voice.

It was a low, nonchalant voice, as if they hadn't thought much of it.
That one casual remark made Sian's heart feel like it was going to explode.
