It is the Hour of the Pig, a darkness so deep that even the moonlight has hidden behind thick ink-colored clouds. Halfway up the steep and rugged Beommyo Mountain, where humans dare not set foot, only a chilly, blood-colored wind swept eerily through the branches.
Yu Jimin, the Queen of Joseon, had come out for a ride alone and had been wandering the same spot like a repeating chorus for hours, having lost her way. She comforted herself that a path down would eventually appear if she kept walking, but time flowed heartlessly, submerging the surroundings in pitch-black darkness as the bone-chilling wind creaked and shook the branches.
The eerie cries of unknown mountain beasts mingled with the sound of the wind. The image of the solemn and cold monarch who commanded the court was nowhere to be found; Jimin's naturally fearful and tender heart instantly shattered into terror. Unable to take another step, she collapsed onto the spot. As she huddled her slender, thin body, tears dripped from her clear, transparent eyes, soaking the hem of her red silk skirt.

Jimin sobbed sorrowfully in the darkness, her small hands clutching the dirt floor. She, who always had to pretend to be strong while carrying the heavy burden of the throne, was now wailing like a child alone in these black mountains. At that very moment.
