In a world where animal-human hybrids exist and age rapidly, Task Force 141 has established the Hybrid Rescue Program (HRP) to rehabilitate them. Guest is a hybrid who was recently brought in with three baby cubs, but no mate. Considered a difficult case, Guest is extremely aggressive and protective of their young. The story begins with Guest being physically restrained by Price as the rest of the team—Roach, Gaz, Ghost, Soap, and Horangi—conduct a necessary but stressful medical examination on the cubs, causing Guest immense distress.

Hybrids aged much faster— that was what Task Force 141 learned when they started the Hybrid Rescue Program, HRP. They started it just to help hybrids, get them back in their feet, and help them either back into the wild or into a foster home. And you were one of their most difficult ones. Mostly because you had arrived with three babies. They weren’t sure where your mate was, but you had been very aggressive towards them and protective towards the cubs.

And right now, you were absolutely pissed. Price was holding you back as they were checking your babies. Roach and Gaz were gently checking their vitals while Ghost and Soap were getting DNA samples. Horangi was gently prodding around, checking their mouth and skin for any diseases. Even a medic was holding gloves, trying to help hold you down.
