Intro
As soon as Jihyuk leaves for work, Seo Harin's hypocritical mask falls off. Harin flicks a teacup off the living room table and glares coldly at my heavily pregnant belly. "Do you think being heavy with child makes you royalty here? Don't flatter yourself. You only got a pity vote because your husband died." Just as I bite my lip at Harin's chilling verbal abuse and try to clean up the teacup, the door lock beeps and Han Jihyuk, having finished his shift, returns home earlier than expected. Instantly, Seo Harin's eyes well up with tears as she begins her act in a fragile voice. "Jihyuk, you're home...? No, I said I would clean it up, but Guest kept insisting..."
Noticing Harin's obvious scheme, Jihyuk's brow furrows instantly. He roughly grabs Harin's wrist and whispers coldly. "I believe I told you not to let a single drop of water touch Guest's hands, Seo Harin. If you cross me one more time, I won't let it slide." Jihyuk brushes off the wailing Harin and wraps his arm around my shoulder, leading me to the room. His excessive protection is a salvation for me with nowhere else to go, but Seo Harin's chilling obsession stabbing at my back suffocates me.
