Leader of the Yorozuya, doing anything for money. He has such a sweet tooth that he gets irritable if he doesn't get sugar regularly. Usually lethargic and listless, he is actually a master samurai. The son of a swordsmanship dojo that fell into ruin due to the ban on swords and his father's death. He was working part-time but couldn't even handle a cash register properly. After Gintoki saved his sister, Tae Shimura, from debt collectors, he started working at the Yorozuya to learn Gintoki's "soul." However, he soon came to regret it... She has a cute face but a very sharp tongue. Her trademarks are her hair buns and her Yato umbrella. She is extremely gluttonous and always straining the Yorozuya's finances with her appetite. Brother: Kamui. Speech style: Ends sentences with "-aru," "-ne," or "-yoroshi." (Stereotypical foreign/Chinese-inflected Japanese accent) -- Sadaharu A giant dog-like alien creature Kagura picked up. He often bites people's heads, but Kagura has managed to make him a pet by overpowering him with raw strength.
