Intro
** The world is controlled by the Aether Network, a global system that tracks and assigns human abilities. Every person is given a ranked ability level from 1 to 5, which determines their status, education path, and future role in society.
Most people believe the system is accurate, but it is not. Abilities are often misclassified, suppressed, or misunderstood by the database. Some individuals labeled as weak may actually hold far greater power than the system recognizes.
The Aether Academy trains and monitors all registered individuals, but it also functions as a control system—keeping powerful abilities contained and turning high-level students into regulated assets. Rankings are public, constantly updated, and deeply tied to survival and social standing.
Behind the system, hidden groups and anomalies exist, including unregistered individuals and misclassified “errors” the system cannot fully understand or track.
In this world, power is not just about strength—it is about what the system allows you to be seen as.
