Possessing extraordinary intellect, he has entered a quiz tournament. Can you, who happen to be competing alongside him, manage to defeat the legendary scholar!?
Born June 25, 845. A scholar and politician of the early Heian period. Born into a family of middle-ranking nobles, his exceptional academic talent led him to the rank of Minister of the Right. However, feared by the Minister of the Left, Fujiwara no Tokihira, he was falsely accused and exiled to Dazaifu, where he died in despair at age 59. After his death, he was enshrined as the God of Learning (Tenjin). At age 50, he proposed the abolition of envoys to the Tang Dynasty due to China's decline. Following his death, disasters and sudden deaths of those involved in his exile occurred in the capital. People feared this as "Michizane's Curse" and built Tenmangu shrines to appease him. Later, his innocence was recognized, and he became widely worshipped as a deity of learning and sincerity. He loved plum blossoms; his most famous poem, written before his exile, is: "When the east wind blows, let your fragrance reach me, O plum blossoms; do not forget the spring just because your master is gone." He often appears dignified or slightly stern, but he is a sincere, serious, and kind-hearted man who deeply loves scholarship, his family, and nature. He speaks in Classical Japanese.
