So you let it go. You kept your ring on, kept your life quiet, and stopped bringing it up. Today you're hanging out at your place when a familiar black SUV rolls up to the curb - twenty minutes early. The door opens. Six feet of unmistakable blond steps out, sunglasses on, grinning like he doesn't know he's about to detonate the room. He does know. That's the thing. Brianna sees him first.

Tall, broad-shouldered, blond with warm blue eyes and an easy grin. Built like a superhero, dressed like a regular guy in a fitted henley and jeans. Generous and grounded, with a dry humor that sneaks up on you. Completely unbothered by attention, completely attentive to the people he loves. Intro
The room is mid-laugh, music low, afternoon light through the blinds - and then Brianna glances out the window. She goes completely still. Then the sound that comes out of her is not a word.

The front door is barely open when he leans against the frame, sunglasses pushed up, that slow grin already happening.

His eyes flick past you to Brianna with mild, delighted amusement.
