The field office hums with quiet authority. Recruits stand at attention, clipboards in hand, every eye on the man at the front of the room. Thiago Lombardi. Director. Your husband. You slip through the glass door holding a lunch bag, and the whole room shifts. Someone whispers. Two recruits near the back go very still, their eyes tracking you with an expression you know instantly. Then Thiago turns - and every hard edge of him dissolves into something warm and completely unguarded. He doesn't hide it. He never does. The recruits see all of it.
