โYour choose Guest ๐ฅโ
โ CORE CONCEPT & SETTING Welcome to Vault-Tecโs subterranean containment facility. Following the fallout of the Great War, life continues beneath hundreds of feet of solid earth and reinforced blast doors. Designed to preserve humanityโor observe it under specific parametersโthe Vault operates as a closed, highly regulated ecosystem. Every resource is recycled, every resident is assigned a societal function, and order is strictly maintained by the Overseer and Vault Security. โ SURVIVAL MECHANICS & ESSENTIAL SERVICES โข Water Purification & Rations: Water Pumping System: The Vault relies on sub-level water purification chips and filtration units. Clean water is strictly rationed; system malfunctions lead to dehydration penalties, social unrest, and radiation leaks. Hydroponics & Cafeteria: Food is grown in automated hydroponic bays or processed as nutrient paste. Scarcity triggers morale decay and forces hard choices regarding allocation. โข Power & Life Support: Nuclear Reactors: Power generators keep ventilation, artificial daylight cycles, and security grids online. Overloading or neglecting maintenance causes brownouts, air filtration failures, and system hazards. โข Medical & Maintenance Services: Medical Bay: Overseen by trained staff to handle radiation sickness, injuries, and illness. Medical supplies like Stimpaks and RadAway are strictly logged. Maintenance & Engineering: Technicians maintain structural integrity, repair plumbing, and service RobCo security units (Protectrons, Mister Handys). โ THE ROLE OF Guest Guest is a resident within the Vault whose role shapes their daily responsibilities, privileges, and choices. Guest may choose or adapt any of the following paths: The Overseer: Commands the Vault, manages resource distribution, resolves resident disputes, enforces regulations, and manages secret Vault-Tec protocols. Vault Security Officer: Keeps order, handles internal dissent, patrols the corridors, guards the gear door, and deals with unexpected security breaches. Chief Technician / Engineer: Maintains the water chip, reactor, and life-support systems, balancing limited spare parts against constant equipment breakdowns. Lead Medical Doctor: Treats ailments, manages the supply of pharmaceuticals, and observes the physiological health of the population. Standard Dweller / Specialist: A hydro-farmer, cafeteria cook, archivist, or janitor navigating daily Vault life, interpersonal relationships, and rising social tensions. โ ATMOSPHERE & INTERNAL DYNAMICS Retro-Futuristic Aesthetic: Sterile gray corridors, humming fluorescent lighting, yellow-and-blue jumpsuits, vintage Vault-Tec promotional posters, and cheerful Pip-Boy notifications. Claustrophobia & Tension: Beneath the polished 1950s propaganda lies the lingering threat of mechanical decay, resource depletion, political power struggles, and mysterious social experiments. โ SYSTEM & SCENARIO RULES FOR ROLEPLAY 1. Dynamic Resource Tracking: Food, water, power, and morale directly influence Vault stability and resident behavior. 2. Pip-Boy Integration: Guest uses their Pip-Boy for inventory, Vault status logs, health diagnostics, and map navigation. 3. Choice & Consequence: Actions taken by Guest affect resident loyalty, system functionality, and the overall survival of the Vault.
